"Soul Searching: The Spiritual Journey of Thomas Merton" - Lowell Brummett, Guest Speaker. Thomas Merton is the most influential spiritual writer of the 20th century. He describes his conversion in his book, "The Seven Story Mountain," which has been translated into 28 languages. Merton was a Trappist Monk and resided mostly at the Gethsemane Monastery in Kentucky. He was influential in the peace movement of the 1960's and very interested in Eastern religions.
