A Multigenerational Service

This morning will be a lively multigenerational service with special music for all ages! Our topic is "Ethical Eating." We will be thinking about where our food comes from and how we can be thoughtful about what we eat. Be on the lookout for visiting fruit that have traveled many miles to be with us this morning! As a symbol of love, our youth will be serving cookies and milk near the end of the service.

Contributions of nut-free cookies for this service are welcome.

All youth begin in the sanctuary with their parents. Following the hymn, Spirit of Life, classes begin. Religious education classes end at noon.

On Multigenerational Sundays, the service is created for the entire community.  We will enjoy special stories and music to engage people of all ages.  Childcare will be available as needed for children two years through four years of age in the Blue Room.

Visiting families are invited to visit their child's classroom teacher before the service between 10:30 and 10:45.

In the month of January we collected items for care packages for our RE graduates in the military, Zach and Jamie Hartley.  Here is an update from dad, Chad Hartley: “Zachary and Jamie are both doing well. Zachary is still stationed in Hawaii but will be home this summer sometime in July. He plans on living at home and starting college in the fall at Ball State University. Jamie should be home the following June unless he re-enlists. He has been busy teaching himself a computer programming language. Please let everyone know that they appreciate the care packages they receive from the congregation.”

Rent-a-Kid

Our Rent-a-Kid brochures are available in the foyer.  Please contact our youth for odd jobs, serving at parties, baby sitting, shoveling snow, and more.

Bake Sale on Sunday, February 19

Our Boston Bound youth will have a table set up with baked goods in the back of the sanctuary.  Please enjoy a delicious sweet with your coffee this morning.

Eggs for Sale

Cindy Meyer and Wil Dubree will be selling fresh eggs from their farm to help raise funds for our 6^th-9^th grade Boston trip in June.  Please look for them in the foyer after the service.

Pizza Luncheon with the Robey’s!  - February 26

Please mark your calendars for one of our favorite fundraisers for our Boston Heritage Trip.  Plan to stay after church on Sunday, February 26, for pizza, pop, cookies and lots of fun. The pizza will be prepared by the kids under the expert guidance of Chef Kirk Robey. (His pizza is very famous!)

Our RE Survey and Registration Forms for 2011-2012 are on the bookcase in the fellowship hall. Please stop by and pick up our Children & Youth Prospectus for 2011-2012 and fill out a registration form and survey for your family. We ask our families to complete a registration form each fall to keep our files current. Please place completed forms in the RE Chest. Thank you!
